we have so many trees around this house sometimes it gets a little difficult to decorate them all {i even have a little tree in my bathroom. ok two little trees in the bathroom.... } so this year we decided to turn one in to a wish tree. we got a whole bunch of clear balls and filled them with all of our christmas wishes and anything that sparkles. and since we keep our trees up well into new years territory we also wrote some new years resolutions {if we're being completely honest here there may have been a year or two that a few decorations made it into bunny territory... shhhh} anyways we also filled a ball with "family jewels." this one was one of my favorites. all of those old necklaces, name bracelets, and beads that i don't like enough to get fixed but hold a special place in my heart now have a home, instead of in a bag in the bottom of my jewelry box. i love all the memories, wishes, dreams, hopes and promises this tree now holds and the feelings it brings every time we walk past.
{don't forget to make a mess!}
{sequin filled christmas wishes}
{glitter filled resolutions}
{the family jewels}
{tinsel}
{glitter and faux snow}
ps lesson learned-don't back up into the tree and beware of sharp edges
