a dear friend of mine is getting married this coming may {k❤j} and i have the honor of being in the wedding... so excited!!! but being in california while they are all in texas i am not able to make all of the wedding festivities... sad face. her bridal shower was this weekend and although i wasn't able to make it, i tried to send a few things to make up for it. her shower was kitchen themed so besides ordering a few of the things she really wanted off of her registry, i got a this cute recipe book {from anthropologie...duh} and filled it with a few of our all time favorite family recipes, a few recipes i got online and some cut out of magazines. so hopefully a few years from now she won't remember that i wasnt able to be there but instead that i gave her the recipes that brought lots of love and laughter around her family table.

We did something similar when my aunt got married! We had everyone at the bridal shower bring two recipes ; their favorite and one they thought my aunt would really like to have and we put all the index cards in the recipe book for her to have. She still has it, eight years later!
