i've been a major procrastinator when it comes to getting the baby's room ready {well... for getting ready for this baby in general- i just got a car seat a few days ago.... thank god he hasn't decided to make a surprise appearance!} however over the holiday break we tackled the painting!!! i wanted some black distressed stripes... so that's what we did! {here is a link to how i've done stripes in the past and more detailed directions if you want step by step info} but basically we measured out 5 inch stripes, taped, then hand painted. although the room is not near done and nothing is in its place here's a little sneak peek at how its coming along!

I love this, I love the fact you guys did black! Most won't do black for a baby, so glad I am not the only one who don't see anything wrong with black in a room for a baby. I also love how you guys DIY and don't bring others in. Means more in the long run, I believe. Anyway awesome room and you guys rock!!
